After skipping the initial cutscene, Guybrush will start talking, continuing the "free Otis" cutscene. While he's doing so, you can't interact with anything, so you can't leave the room and have to lose some precious seconds. Unless... did you select the map right before getting to the dock at the end of part one? If you did, you can open the inventory and press Tab. Guybrush will start looking at the map and, once he's done so, you'll be able to leave the room. This saves about 6 seconds or so. After leaving the room, play part two as normal, but be careful. Every time Guybrush picks up an item, you have to wait until he's done before clicking anywhere. If you do so, hotspots will disappear. You'll have to once more look at the map, but by doing so you'll lose the item slide, and the run will be over. Start by picking up the cereal, then the Jolly Roger. Go to the captain's room and open the cereal. While Guybrush is doing so, walk to the cabinet but don't open the inventory. If you do so, once again, hotspots will disappear and you'll lose the item slide. Once the last "crunch" disappears, open the inventory, and use the prize with the cabinet. Now, open the chest. Wait until Guybrush gets up for the second time. If you click anywhere before he does... you guessed it: hotsposts will disappear and you'll lose the item slide. Get the feather pen, the ink, and look at the chest to get the cinammon sticks. You can walk to the exit while Guybrush is talking about the contents of the chest. Finally, get the fine wine and the gunpowder. On the way to the kitchen, open the inventory and select the cereal. You cook as normal, only you can press "U", click on the pot and open the inventory while Guybrush is using an item. This saves time, but once again, you need to be careful: if you then click on an item before Guybrush isn't done using the previous one... yes, that's right: hotspots will disappear and you'll lose the item slide. Usually, this isn't a problem, though: most of the time you'll be fine by simply going as fast as you can (or, at least, as fast as I can; if you're faster, you might need to take this into account). Once you're done cooking, start walking towards the pot, hold Backspace to skip the cutscene, and then press Tab once or click somewhere so Guybrush wakes up. If you hold Tab too long or click twice, or do anything before Guybrush is done saying "I feel awful"... hostpost will disappear. And, since you've probably used the map to get the flaming mass, you won't be able to look at it. That is, you'll softlock the game. The rest of part two also plays as usual, with one exception: one Guybrush makes it to the deck, click somewhere near Guybrush. Once he stops walking, he'll start saying "Holy Monkey Bladders!". While he's doing so, get near the cannon nozzle and open the inventory. Once the verb becomes "walk to", use the gunpowder and finish part two as usual.
